The research is addressing the preferences of Imam Al-Qurtubi May Almighty Allah have mercy on him and has shown the personal and scientific life of Imam Al-Qurtubi, and then I mentioned Imam's jurisprudential preferences in the most important issues related to personal status in Surat Al-Baqarah in the light of his comprehensive interpretation of the provisions of the Holy Qur'an, and then followed by mentioning the opinions of the preceding Companions and Followers - may God be pleased with them if any, then I explain the opinions of the jurists who came after them who belong to other schools of thoughts, mentioning the evidence that they used, then I move afterwards to mention the most preponderant opinion as per my own personal opinion, with an explanation of the reasons for the weighting of that opinion. In the conclusion, I mentioned the most important results that I reached in this research, through the jurisprudential issues related to the chapters of personal status in Surat Al-Baqarah through its comprehensive interpretation of the provisions of the Holy Qur'an.
