The system of slavery in the light of Islamic law and international legislation (A comparative study)

Slavery is a phenomenon that has existed since ancient times, practiced by most of the ancient nations, in order to benefit from the capabilities of people who are trapped as a result of wars. Therefore, Islamic law is meant to confront this phenomenon as well as international conventions that demanded the criminalization of slavery and its prohibition.
The problem of the study lies in defining the concept of slavery in Islamic law and in international legislation. This study is aimed at understanding the concept of slavery in Islamic law and in international conventions, indicating the compatibility of prohibition, as well as the position of international legislations on modern types of slavery. This study has reached a number of conclusions and recommendations, the most important of which is finding ways to combat slavery at the international and national levels. By scrutinizing the texts of international legislation, it has overlooked many contemporary forms of slavery, such as the trafficking of workers and the work of blacks in shops within national borders. These agreements have linked illegal immigration and trafficking of women for purposes of prostitution. The need to unite the international efforts in the face of slavery by creating a comprehensive concept of the forms of slavery and creating an international consensus for this concept. The need to find a competent authority to monitor the implementation and implementation of international conventions on the criminalization of slavery and servitude and to include the criminalization of all forms of slavery and slavery in all States parties to the Convention.
