Imam al-Nawawi's fundamentalist Irregularities of the public - A comparative study

Abstract

This research briefly dealt with the biography of Imam al-Nawawi, and his fundamentalist disagreements with the majority of fundamentalists, represented by the ruling on beneficial objects before the introduction of Sharia law, the ruling on adding to what is obligatory, the ruling on the repentant's narration of lying in the hadith of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the validity of the concept of number, and it was the preponderance in all of these issues. It is the opinion of the public.
The research revealed some features of the fundamentalist, independent personality of Imam al-Nawawi, and that he is considered one of the most prominent Shafi'i scholars, and that he is a diligent person who relies on evidence, and works according to what his ijtihad dictates to him, whether his ijtihad contradicts the public or agrees with them, and that his disagreements with the public indicate his unique mentality and his abundant knowledge, And his boldness in presenting his opinion, even if he disagreed with mosts.
