Abstract
The aim of this study is to identify the effectiveness of stud-ying the subject of science which is shown on the educational television screen from the point of view of the students of the second intermediate grade. The researcher followed the analyt-ical descriptive research method. And also the validity and re-liability were calculated as the questionnaire was distributed to the study sample which numbered (950) students of the second intermediate grade in the government schools affiliated to the Di-rectorate of Education in the first Karkh.
When analyzing the results varying percentages appeared in the effectiveness of science lessons that were shown on educational television and on the basis of that the researcher developed a set of recommendations and proposals.
