Evaluating the performance of employees in civil engineering companies in the light of the concept of total quality, a field study

Abstract

The current research seeks to evaluate the performance of employees in civil engineering companies in the light of the concept of total quality. In order to achieve the study's objectives that it seeks to reach, the current research relied on the descriptive analytical approach through a sample of engineers working in private engineering companies in Baghdad with a sample size of ( 150) engineers were selected in a stratified random manner according to a set of demographic variables, and in order to collect the necessary data and information, a questionnaire was designed to evaluate performance according to the overall quality and verify its validity and stability. After applying the performance, the study reached the following results:
1. The dimensions of evaluating the performance of employees in civil engineering companies according to the comprehensive quality came at a very good level.
2. It came after (feedback) ranked first.
3. After (fairness of the performance appraisal process), (employees' participation) ranked second.
4. After (the clarity of the performance appraisal process), (the professionalism of the performance appraisal process) ranked third.
5. The private engineering companies paid attention to the feedback as a basis for evaluating the performance of employees according to the overall quality

6. There is a weakness in the clarity of the performance appraisal process as well as the professionalism and objectivity in the performance appraisal according to the overall quality.
