Abstract
The lie detector is one of the modern methods that investigators may use in the field of crime detection. This device uses investigation devices at the interrogation stage to find out that the interrogated accused may tell the truth or give false information in the field of physical evidence. This device flourished in Greece China and the Arabs. In Greece the scientist (Aristotle) was testing the person by holding the pulse places and then asking him a question to know the extent of his truthfulness and falsehood then if his pulse was fast this indicates his lies and insincerity. In the interrogation the investigators used to give the accused a quantity of (rice) and ask him to put a small amount in his mouth and then chew it. If it appeared at the end of the investigation that the rice was still dry he emphasized the lack of credibility of the accused. The accused may touch the bottom of the protected container with his tongue to reveal his statements whether they are true or not (1) Then this device developed and became composed of several legal devices powered by electrical energy in an automated manner in the style of some changes appearing on the human body (۲) Also the method of directing the test questions to the accused has been developed in asking questions whose source is lying in order to deceive the interrogator or accuse the accused in telling the truth that is contrary to what was asked of the question or concealing the truth in the direction of conforming to what was asked of the question falsely and the test is also conducted without knowing the material of the crime. Or the circumstances surrounding it. If the interrogator's reaction was more in response to the question this indicates that the accused did not commit the crime. But if his response was in a translated cases then he arouses suspicion and suspicion that he has a connection in committing that criminal fact and in all cases of testing the results are confidential. It may not be disclosed except to the committee in charge of testing
