Abstract

This research investigates the portrayal of war in German litera-ture across various historical periods, genres, and styles. In addition, it examines the influence of war representations on society, including the reactions of readers and critics, as well as their impact on public opinion and the culture of remembrance. The study answers research questions and discusses the main findings to provide a comprehensive understanding of the role of war in German literature.
