Classification of agricultural land uses in Al-Rasheed sub-district using geographic information systems
Abstract
A person exerts great effort in organizing and changing the place in order to obtain the maximum possible profit from agricultural production whether it is plant or animal and that the variation or diversity in land uses in a place is a reflection of the relationship between the natural and human characteristics of that place and that the activity that a person does includes The organization of the place and its change is affected by the relationship between these characteristics as the study of agricultural land uses is of prominent importance in the preparation of agricultural development plans and programs in the Al-Rasheed district and is also a key to solving the problems that the district suffers from if it is prepared scientifically and accurately. The study adopted the geographic information systems (GIS) technique in classifying the agricultural lands of the study area Al-Rasheed district by deducting the study area from the raw visual of the American satellite landsatA OLI consisting of 1 spectral bands captured for the region for the year ۲۰۲۰۰ and adopting the ARC GIS program in the classification process. By producing a map of the study area part of which is represented by the location and boundaries of the study area and the other part pertains to agricultural lands winter and summer crops palm groves and fruit trees.
