Abstract

It is ubiquitous that the language and culture are interdependent.Through the latest technologies, the globalization and affairs of nation,cross-cultural communication has become more substantive. The culturalquotient (CQ) is getting progressively important, particularly inthe linguistic context of the changing dynamics of work culture aroundthe globe. In this paper, The importance of intercultural communicationis highlighted by Yano (2006). He also discussed several explicitlystated methods and techniques in the learning of intercultural communicationin the classroom. He discussed how one might improve theircapacity to connect with non-native speakers and their knowledge ofcultural differences by shifting from an ethnocentric to an ethno-relativeperspective.
